Airline Reservation System
Due Tuesday 2/11/97

The assignment is to design and implement a simple airline reservation system in Java. This program is to run on a single computer, that is it is not a client-server system. In future assignments you will implement client-server versions of this program. In this assignment a GUI interface is neither required nor prohibited. In general, it is better to produce a well designed and well implemented basic program than to produce a poor quality program with lots of fancy features.

The airline reservation system will need to be able to perform the following actions:

list cities and their abbreviations
list available flights between two cities for a certain date
reserve a seat on a specific flight
cancel a reservation
list the passenger manifest for a flight that has not left, yet

Reservations should include the passenger's name, flight, time and date of travel,and the aircraft type. Cities are known by their airline abbreviations. The following cities will be used:

SAN San Diego

LAX Los Angeles

DFW Dallas/Fort Worth

DE Denver

AMS Amsterdam

FAR Fargo ND

All flights are daily. All flights are always on time. Reservations can be made up to the time that the flight leaves.

There are several types of planes. They only differ in the number of seats:
